Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Demonstration

1863

On July 19th citizens assembled at the Civil Rights Foot Soldier Memorial in Annapolis, Maryland and marched to Church Circle for a demonstration in front of the County Court House. This multi-ethnic demonstration called attention to the fact that for more than 300 years, the all-white Ninth Anne Arundel County Circuit Court has never had a female Black, Asian or Latino judge.

The March was hosted by the Caucus of African American Leaders
