“Humans” is the title of the art exhibit opening August 10th at 201 Defense Highway, Annapolis in the second-floor reception area of What’s Up Media. Sponsored by the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County and What’s Up Media, the show features nine Anne Arundel County artists: Kathy Banuesiewicz, Lora Collins, Sheila Guevin, Rich Isaacman, Will Scott, Steve Schulman, Susan Picard. Lisa Rath, and Florita Washington.
Paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolor and photographs put the focus on people as they interact with each other and their environment. This is the third collaboration between the Anne Arundel County Arts Council and What’s Up Media, providing a venue accessible to the community for viewing local artwork.
Also showing in Anne Arundel County, there is still time before summer ends to see the Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport exhibit entitled “Man & Machine” featuring the work of Anne Arundel County artists, sponsored and organized by the Arts Council. The airport show focuses on the interaction between humans and machinery from an artist’s perspective and is on display through September 15th. The exhibit is located pre-security between concourses C & D.
