In almost all cases, refugees are shown in desperate conditions in photographs by news agencies. An anonymous photographer decided to show his friends (who are trapped with him in Mexico due to the U.S. government’s constantly changing immigration policy) in a different light. His idea was to change people’s perceptions of immigrants, migrants, and refugees.

  • A woman dressed in a fancy silver dress and white neck colar. The woman is from africa and has a short afro.
  • Stories of the dreams of Cameroon refugees as they wait in Mexico for an opportunity to immigrate to the United States.

This series exhibit premiered as part of the One Annapolis Streaming festival last week, and one of the photo subjects, James, read the touching captions.
