On January 31st, the day after President Trump’s first State of the Union, our climate movement will come together in Washington D.C. for Fossil Free Fast: The Climate Resistance.
Movement leaders will share stories on the urgency of the current political and climate crises, and light our path ahead: resist the ongoing attacks on our climate, build power towards the 2018 and 2020 elections, and secure the lasting change we need through local action.
Speakers will include: U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, 350.org co-founder Bill McKibben, Rev. Lennox Yearwood from Hip Hop Caucus, Jacqueline Patterson from the NAACP, Cherri Foytlin from L’eau Est La Vie Camp – No Bayou Bridge and Louisiana Rise, Adriana Voss-Andreae from 350pdx, Varshini Prakash from the Sunrise Movement, Jessica Lorena Rangel from Eyes of a Dreamer and more!
If you cannot attend the event in Washington DC, please join the Climate Stewards of Greater Annapolis with others in our community who are organizing to build local power and take climate action. We will view a livestream of the event.
